BUN BUNI THATCH TREK
Overview
Join us on our Kalga - Bunbuni Thatch Tour, where you can sit on a vast Himalayan meadow and watch the sun set into the mystical Parvati valley. The trek starts from our homestay - Holy Cow Café and Beds - in Kalga, and takes you through dense pine and deodar forests, with lush meadows and mountain peaks visible throughout your journey.
Itinerary
Day 1: Kalga - Bun Buni Meadow

9:00 AM: Arrival at our homely Holy Cow Café and Beds in the serene Kalga village.

9:00-10:00 AM: Enjoy a welcome drink, get oriented, and meet your adventure companions.

10:00 AM: Departure for Bun Buni, trekking through enchanting forests with the deodar and pine trees for company.

12:00 PM: Lunch break at a beautiful spot.

2:00 PM: Reach Bun Buni - refresh with tea and snacks amidst the mountains.

7:00 PM: Unwind with dinner and a bonfire, followed by a night under the stars in tented accommodation.

Day 2: Return to Kalga

7:30 AM: Morning tea and biscuits to start the day, followed by a hearty breakfast.

9:00 AM: Trek back to Kalga, carrying memories of the majestic views and serene landscapes.

How to reach
You have to reach Kalga Dam.
OPTIONS:
1. Take an overnight bus to Kasol from Delhi or Chandigarh and then a private taxi/local bus to Kalga Dam.
- Delhi to Kasol Bus: 12 hours
- Chandigarh to Kasol Bus: 8 hours
- Kasol to Kalga Dam: 30 minutes
2. Take an overnight bus to Bhuntar and then a private taxi/local bus to Kalga Dam.
3. You can even take a flight to Bhuntar Airport but we do not recommend it as the prices of the flights are very high.
4. You can also take a train to Pathankot Railway Station and take a bus to Kullu/Kasol which will be an overnight journey.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND REACHING ONE DAY BEFORE THE TREK. (Accommodation can be arranged at Holy Cow Café & Beds, Kalga)
