Overview

Tread softly on the earth, breathe in the purity of the air, and immerse yourself in the profound tranquility of Bandak Thatch Meadow. This three-day tour focuses on exploration and relaxing at the same time. We trek to one of the hidden gems of Parvati Valley, Bandak Thatch, and explore the higher meadows and views of glaciers and peaks for the second day. This is, absolutely, one of the best experiences you can have in Parvati Valley. So Pack your bags and join us for this enchanting experience!

Itinerary

Day 1: Pulga - Bandak Thatch​

  • 9:00-10:00 AM: Get oriented, and meet your adventure companions.

  • 10:00 AM: Departure for Bandak Thatch, trekking through a dense forest of pine trees, and deodar.

  • 12:30 PM: Lunch break at a predetermined spot.

  • 2:00 PM: Reach Bandak - refresh with tea and snacks amidst the mountains.

  • 7:00 PM: Unwind with dinner and a bonfire, followed by a night under the stars in, comfortable, cabana-tented accommodation.

Day 2: Bandak Thatch - Higher Meadow - Bandak Thatch

  • 7:30 AM: Morning tea and biscuits to start the day, followed by a hearty breakfast.

  • 9:00 AM: Departure from Bandak, towards a higher meadow, trekking over lush meadows and shrubs, crossing a waterfall stream.

  • 12:00 PM: Reach the higher meadow and have lunch with the views of higher peaks and glaciers right in front of you.

  • 1:00 PM: Leave back for Bandak Thatch.

  • 3:00 PM: Reach Bandak and have tea/snacks.

  • 7:00 PM: Unwind with Dinner and a bonfire, followed by a night under the stars in your tents.

Things to carry

  • ​Backpack with rain cover

  • Water bottle/Hydration pack

  • Head torch

  • Trekking/Hiking Shoes

  • Tiffin Boxes/spoon/fork

  • Trekking Pole (Advisable)

  • Pullover and Down Jacket

  • Woolen cap

  • Sunglasses

  • Extra socks

  • Waterproof Jacket/Raincoat

  • Personal items such as snacks, toiletries, medical kit, sunscreen cream, sanitizer. toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper/wipes and other personal items

Day 3: Return to Pulga

  • 7:30 AM: Morning tea and biscuits to start the day, followed by a hearty breakfast.

  • 9:00 AM: Trek back to Pulga, carrying memories of the majestic views and serene landscapes.

How to reach

You have to reach Pulga.

OPTIONS:

1. Take an overnight bus to Kasol from Delhi or Chandigarh and then a private taxi/local bus to Kalga Dam.

 - Delhi to Kasol Bus: 12 hours

 - Chandigarh to Kasol Bus: 8 hours

 - Kasol to Pulga Taxi: 40 minutes

 - Kasol to Barshaini Bus: 40 minutes

 - Barshaini to Pulga Taxi: 15-20 minutes

2. Take an overnight bus to Bhuntar and then a private taxi/local bus to Kalga Dam.

3. You can even take a flight to Bhuntar Airport but we do not recommend it as the prices of the flights are very high.
4. You can also take a train to Pathankot Railway Station and take a bus to Kullu/Kasol which will be an overnight journey.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND REACHING ONE DAY BEFORE THE TREK. (Accommodation can be arranged at Holy Cow Café & Beds, Kalga)

  • Comfortable cabana tent accommodations in Kheerganga and tented accommodations at Bun Buni Thatch.

  • Meals while on trek (Veg + Egg)

  • Expert guide, cook, and porter/mule support.

  • First aid assistance for a safe adventure.

  • Porters for central equipment.

  • Personal shopping on the trek.

  • Any Extra detours or tweaks you want to make.

  • Items and services not listed under "Inclusions".

  • Extra porters for personal luggage (Please inform prior to the trek day)
