Anand Tiwari is a man of many talents and a huge passion for the outdoors. A graduate of the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management, New Delhi, his love for the mountains started at an early age. Eager to pursue his passion, he went on to complete his Basic Mountaineering Course from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS) in Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, and Advance Mountaineering Course from the prestigious Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) in Darjeeling, West Bengal. An avid trekker, he has completed many high altitude treks, and successfully climbed some of the highest Himalayan peaks - Mt. BC Roy in Sikkim and Mt. Kang Yatse 1 in Ladakh. Anand is also a certified diver from Thailand and has continued his adventures into skydiving in Australia. He hopes to scale 8000m mountains, and especially realise his long-cherished dream of climbing Mt. Everest.
The Holy Cow Story
In 2016, Anand took a leap of faith and started Holy Cow Cafe & Beds - a backpacker lodge, in Himachal Pradesh. With his extensive knowledge of the natural world, concern for sustainable nature travels and passion for creating memorable experiences, Anand has since taken the plunge into curating experiential tours in Himachal, Ladakh and Uttarakhand. His commitment to provide quality hospitality has helped shape Holy Cow's vision. Presently, Holy Cow provides adventure tours across India and curated treks in the north Indian mountain states. In terms of quality hospitality, we currently host guests at two of our locations. At our properties, we believe in offering more than just a place to stay - we offer our guests a chance to truly experience the beauty and diversity of India.
